We are passionate about the Lake District, and established Ridgeway as the perfect base for adventuring or relaxing.

Ridgeway is a spacious 3-double bedroom detached cottage, in the peaceful village of Thornthwaite, nestled on the edge of Whinlatter Forest Park, and just 3 miles from the popular market town of Keswick. It sleeps 6, and warmly welcomes children and well behaved dogs. 

As well as longer stays, Ridgeway is available for short breaks outside of peak weeks, These are for 3 night stays (Friday to Monday), or 4 night stays (Monday to Friday).

Ridgeway has plenty of landscaped outdoor space with stunning views of Skiddaw and the surrounding fells. It benefits from being recently  renovated to a high standard offering 3 double bedrooms (one set up as a twin but can convert to a double), 2 modern bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, a cosy comfortable lounge, large separate dining room and useful office space. The cottage has capacity for an additional occasional guest by means of a futon sofabed (in the dining room).

To ensure you get the very best out of your holiday, the large integrated garage has been converted into a practical equipment/storage room. So however you choose to spend your time in the Lakes, you can return to a cottage offering secure storage for bikes or motorcycles with full drying facilities and ample kit storage.
